Many thanks for the informative and fun training. It really was fantastic, especially because not only am I a one-person development department, I'm also founding the development dept at an organization that hasn't really had one, and of course, I've never done it before either!

I really enjoyed hearing about your first hand experiences asking for money. That information is invaluable. You are a great teacher. I know that because even without seeing you, I felt your energy and enthusiasm.

We greatly appreciate the time and effort that went into the workshop’s preparation and quality of your assessments and report. Your insights, instruction and advice have already had an immediate impact in members’ understanding of their roles and have helped set a course of action for future board development.
It was a true please to work with you and we look forward to future opportunities where we can work together again.

Thanks for leading such an informative class today. I learned a ton of new strategies -- not only for stewardship -- but for our overall development program. I would love a copy of the presentation so I can keep it as a reference tool.
Best,

Sorry I couldn’t talk to you after the session this morning. I thought it was one of the best sessions I have seen on board fundraising. You were clear and upbeat while setting out a challenge, and you responded to points made in discussion flexibly but without caving on your major points.
Thank you!

I want to thank you once again for your wonderful support and contribution to the Texas proposal. Your ability to grasp the concepts and details of our programs quickly was invaluable and really moved us forward in the process. I also appreciate your commitment to researching the data and the findings to support the proposal. You have written new words and brought in a new perspective that will improve not only this proposal but future proposals as well.
However, bottom line, your positive, can-do attitude really saved the day to encourage me and the other team members on such a quick turnaround. It was a pleasure working with you and hope we can do it again.

Thanks so much for helping to light a fire under our Board. What a difference the retreat has made!

Thank you so much for providing a terrific training to the Mar Vista Family Center Board. Today I was at Mar Vista and heard various people talking about how much they got out of your presentation. For me, you provided a perspective on donor cultivation that made the process seem non-threatening and full of potential.

“Janet Levine is a consistently engaging instructor who provides various thought-provoking sessions at the Center for Nonprofit Management. Her knowledge of the work done by on-the-ground nonprofit organizations is always valued by our participants.”
Carlos Ramirez
Education Coordinator
Center for Nonprofit Management

I worked with Janet in Los Angeles and New York, where she facilitated workshops focusing on fundraising techniques. She has a remarkable breadth of knowledge about all aspects of fundraising and her workshops are always comprehensive, interactive and entertaining. Janet is a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend her.

Director of Professional Development
Support Center For Nonprofit Management

Janet has been an amazing mentor and coach. Her sense of humor and no nonsense attitude has helped me refocus on the most critical aspects of fund development. She is helping me transition from one position in fund development to another so that it is smooth and successful.
Lisa Daggart
Director of Development

Janet Levine has provided valuable consulting services to the Verdi Chorus since 2007. In that time, she spearheaded a strategic planning effort that enabled us to define mid-range goals and milestones to 2012. She then provided guidance in the implementation of that plan and led our grant application process. Up until Janet came on the scene, we had modest but inconsistent success in grant applications. As a result of Janet's efforts we achieved our largest grant award in 2006, and then exceeded that award two years later in 2008. In the face of the current economic downturn, Janet has assisted us in not only maintaining but growing our economic base. I have had the pleasure of working with consultants to a number of not-for-profit organizations. Janet Levine has been insightful, productive, good humored, and a delight to work with. I recommend her personally and professionally.

I was lucky enough to be in your Fundraising for the One Person Development Office seminar this past Tuesday and learned more in the three hours with you than I have in most of the books I've read and webinars I've suffered through!
